Sooty's cousin Scampi is coming to visit and Matthew is very excited about it however Sooty is not so sure. When Scampi does arrive Matthew finds out about how naughty Little Cousin Scampi is!
Soo is moaning about the mess of the house, and wants all the junk thrown out. But Matthew,Sooty, Sweep and Scampi disagree with Soo and think there is no rubbish, but there are soon proved wrong by Soo.
There is a certain magic in the air, thanks to Sooty's magic wand. Soo is talking backwards, Matthew is going to his bed when he just got up and everyone is doing everything Back To Front.
Matthew is having trouble with his garden, but he can't afford to get a gardener to come and tidy it or they are to busy. So, Sooty gives him a idea to have a garden in a box. Later on Matthew, Sooty and Sweep go to the garden centre and cause chaos for Matthew!
Sweep has learnt about fire safety at school and has become hyper sensitive to any kind of fire! However when Mathew takes things into his own hands and deals with a fire himself, he gets more than he bargained for!
It's Matthew's fortieth birthday and he's very excited about it however, when he opens his birthday presents he realises that the Sooty, Sweep and Soo think he's fat and decides to do something about it. Later he tells them he's joining the 'Early Risers Club' but each morning for a week he makes excuses about why he can not go until Sooty with the help of Olga and the gang play a prank on him.

The Sooty household are decorating books and making them look nice but it soon turns a bit awkward when Matthew uses the glue. Later they make paper mache and it certainly does get sticky then!
